COVID changed the future of American cities with each city facing its own unique challenges. But they all have in common dealing with the complexities of distributing the COVID vaccine, instituting public health measures to contain the virus, cuts to public school funding, the closing of small businesses and the threat of evictions and foreclosures amid the COVID recession.
On Thursday, January 21 at 10 AM ET / 9 AM CT, The Fifty: America’s Mayors will virtually convene mayors from across the U.S. for back-to-back interviews during inauguration week to discuss bold ideas and policy proposals for their cities to move forward post-COVID-19. The mayors will also discuss what their cities need from the federal and state governments to recover from the economic and public health crises and how they’d like to work with President Biden as he begins in the White House.

The virtual program will feature an executive conversation between POLITICO CEO, Patrick Steel and Microsoft's President of U.S. Regulated Industries, Toni Townes-Whitley.
